In Malaysia, today is the 31st December 2013 which means in a few more hours, we will be bidding 2013 goodbye and welcoming 2014 with open arms. I will also be saying goodbye, goodbye old me, goodbye history, goodbye bad memories, goodbye 2013, goodbye my friends.
When I started working in Malaysia Airlines, I met a few good friends that I could keep. Being the last day of the month, almost at one go, I will be "losing" my friends as they are leaving. I was not ready to let all go at the same time, but it seems I will be "losing" 3 good friends at the same time. Coming to work will be a burden for the next few weeks as coming in and seeing their chairs empty will actually make me feel really empty. The dried rose from Sakina which sits on my table, will constantly remind me of her cray cray ways. Pillow throwing, blankets flying around will all be memories. The pinching and punching and poking will all be history. Kak Ili's poking and meowing will be missed in the office. Her laugh at the most smallest issue that would make even you who does not know why she was laughing, to join her in laughter. Akka Jeya's advice and motherly affection will be mostly missed by me. Food sharing amongt all of us, well I share they eat. LOL... Oh how you guys are gonna be so missed at work. Farewell my friends and may the New Year bring you the best in life could ever give you.
Do you realize the double standards of people in general? Especially Malaysians. Men are very welcomed to have a big size body, but if a woman is a little over weight, they are ridiculed, made fun off, laughed at even by the men who are huge. Where the hell did you get a stupid idea that men are allowed to be big sized where as all ladies are supposed to be toothpicks? Just to be accepted in to society, you see ladies going to super ways to look good, from dieting, starvation, extremem work outs. Instead of feeling like a queen which they are deserve to be treated as, they are made to feel at thye lowest. All just to pleasure men and their eyes. And do men appreciate us? Hell NO!!!!! We are taken for granted. What is to become? Have you thought how your mum, daughter or even sioster would feel if other people made fun of them? This New Year I have made up my mind to do what I want no matter what people say. Its your body boo, you can never please others. Even if you had a bod like Halle Berre or Beyonce, people around are still going to make fun of you or find faults with you. So boo, a little advice before we enter 2014. Feel good about your body. Feel proud of what you have. Those who make fun of you are actually deep inside wishing they had what you have. I'll go in detail in my next post.
My last words before we enter 2014, feel proud of yourself. Love yourself, and people around you will learn to love you as you are. xoxo Jassy
Happy New Year 2014 AND HAVE A BLAST WHERE EVER YOU ARE!!
